Meet Pickle! Sleepyhead‘s twin brother’s ready for bed too. He’s a 12 inch 5-way jointed bear made of wispy butterscotch alpaca mohair. Other than his head and outfit, he was fully hand-sewn. He has glass eyes with Sculpey clay eyelids. His face is needle/scissor sculpted and his nose is embroidered with perle cotton thread. His huge puffy paws are hand-embroidered ultra suede. He’s stuffed with polyfil synthetic stuffing and plastic pellets for added weight. His arms have a soft covered wire armature so he can wrap his arms around his bunny. I constructed his striped teal flannel pajamas with the same construction standards I would use on a “human” garment: overlocked seams, interfacing, finished hems and functioning closures. Front placket opens and closes with Velcro. Pants have functioning drawstring. And we can’t forget his little bunny! The bunny is made of insanely soft synthetic fur with pink “cuddles” fabric in the ears and an embroidered face.
